Last Sunday evening several churches from across Fife joined together for a praise and thanksgiving service. It was with glad and united hearts that we thanked the Lord for bringing Glenrothes Baptist Church (GBC) to this point- giving them a wonderful facility and orchestrating events and providing in amazing ways.
Their pastor (Jacob Brothers) spoke from Philippians chapter 1 on “partnership in the gospel” and this was followed by a time of church leaders sharing encouragements and prayer points, before splitting into groups and praying for them.
Adam Broughton spoke about the recent development of Fife Gospel Partnership, which stimulated interest from other churches represented. It was good to be together- local Baptist churches, Newcraigs Evangelical Church and Kirkcaldy Free Church, all thankful for a superb new facility and praying that the Lord would use it mightily in Kingdom work.
The building itself is superb. Lots of flexible and well-designed space for worship services, youth work, conferences, and outreach. I loved the main wall decorated by Christians from Romania. I better not become jealous and covet my neighbour’s church building……
Those I spoke to on the way out were encouraged at being together in this way, and seeing God’s hand on our brothers and sisters in Christ in GBC, a church which has seen many come to Christ in recent days. We pray many more do.
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” (Psalm 133 v1).
