If you’ve ever looked at photos of houses on the internet, whether it’s to buy or to rent, you’ll know that what you see in the photos sometimes isn’t what it’s actually like when you get there; when you go in person it can be a lot worse or a lot better! The point is you have to go and see it for yourself. So don’t just look at our pics! Why not come along and stay for a coffee and a blether after the service.
If you’re new to the area or interested in finding out more about Christianity we’d love to meet you. Our services on Sunday are at 11:00 am and 5:30 pm and last for about an hour. There’s plenty of parking. There are lots of others activities too: crèche and Sunday School, Bible Studies and prayer meetings, a fortnightly community café, a weekly toddlers group and church lunches.
Our services are simple and focused on Jesus and the Word of God. Studying the Bible together is really important to us, not only on Sundays but on other days too. Prayer is also crucial in the life of the church, as is being a loving and caring family, and sharing the good news of Jesus with others. We’re not the perfect church, and as it’s often said, if you find that then don’t go there as you’ll spoil it! We believe it’s only faith in Jesus, through his death and resurrection, that you can find forgiveness, peace with God, and be changed by his grace.
What do we have in common? We are a group mainly from Kirkcaldy, but also from other parts of Central and East Fife, and some from West Fife too. The main thing we have in common though, is our love for Jesus, our desire that he is known and loved by more and more people, and a desire to become more like him.
We are, on the whole, made up of young families. However, we greatly value the older Christians in our church and see huge value in young and old mixing together and learning from one another. We have plenty of spare seats in the church and would love to see them filled, not for our own sakes but for the glory of God. Maybe you’d like to be part of our church family. Everyone is welcome.
There are plenty of ways to serve God in our church. And there are plenty of ways we can mutually support one another. We’re part of a denomination which you can find more about at freechurch.org.
Even more importantly, we are part of the worldwide Church of Christ.
We look forward to meeting you.
