Whenever a church tries to use its own resources for its work, it always ends in unfaithfulness, pride and disaster. So, let’s pray that we will so depend on God in prayer that there would be a continuous supply of God’s power. May this enable us to shed light into this dark world, share the gospel with those around us, maintain the unity of the church and understand the will of God through the Word of God. This is the Word of the Lord all of us here this morning: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.’ (Zechariah 4:6)

You are different, so be different, to make a difference.
A church full of people who hope in their future with Christ, who strive to be holy, and who deeply reverence God stands out in a world of despair, indulgence, and irreverence. People around will notice that difference. Some may hate it but others may be drawn by it. Our lives can become a beacon that points people to Jesus. You are different because of God’s grace – so be different, to make a gospel difference in the lives of others.
The Day of Atonement
If you repent of your sin, and ask Jesus to cleanse you with his blood, you too can know the peace of being reconciled with God. Never come to God arguing you’re quite a good person. Come confessing your sin, and asking Jesus to wash you. Come to God in God’s way.

The economics of grace
Even as Christians, we’re prone to thinking that our money is ours. But we need Jesus to flip the tables of our hearts. We need to realise that the economics of this world and the economics of grace are two entirely different things. Our souls, our bodies, and even our pocketbooks have been bought with a price, and that should change what we do with our money.
Christ alone is worthy
As we celebrate the miracle of the resurrection, may we recognise that Jesus alone is worthy of worship, adoration and praise. May we worship Him, the servant-king, the Lion and the Lamb; the only true God, full of might and mercy, fierceness and forgiveness.
Stepping through the door…
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the pain and suffering of this world and are doubting God is in control, then come through the door with John and be reminded that He is ruling and reigning on His eternal throne. This is the great reality of the universe. Along with all people, the only right response is to worship him through Jesus Christ.
Keep on keeping on
God himself has called us to the ultimate goal; eternal fellowship with him in glory. This means he’s determined that we shall reach our destination. If God calls us to this race, and he does, you can be sure that he will provide all the grace we need to run, and we will finish.
For or against?
Jesus claimed to be the way, the truth and the life. This is an exclusive claim. But it forces us to ask ourselves today, are we for Jesus or against him? Do we love him, or deep down, do we resent his claim over our lives? The Christmas story divides us. On which side do you land? It’s a matter of eternal life or death.
